Welcome - Introduce yourself to our audience. Anything special you would like them to know?

My name is Yuni Wa. I'm a 21 year old Music Producer/Sound engineer/Live mixer from Little Rock, Arkansas.

Yuni Wa, what makes you the Master?

What makes me the master is that I can do any style I'd like. I'm a master with sound because I understand music at an extremely deep level and I'm also a master at work ethic. One of the definitions for "Master" is to acquire complete knowledge or skill in (an accomplishment, technique, or art) or gain control of; overcome.

I have complete control over my creative process thus I'm a master because since the age of 13, I've consistently been spending 1000s of hours working on my craft and sound.

If you were to describe your music in a number of sounds, colors, or objects - what would they be?

They would be the colors blue, pink, and purple.

The best type of sounds to describe it would be Electronic, Hip Hop, and Experimental.

The types of objects I'd use to describe my music would be these 5 things. flowers, a glass of water, stars, atoms, and a rolled blunt.

Production techniques. Take us through your workflow - is there any specific skill you learned that has increased the quality of your music?

My production technique starts with creating concepts and figuring out what the overall feeling of a song should give off. I either lay down melodies first and drums last or drums first and melodies last, it's usually depending on how i feel in the moment. Also, a skill that I learned that has upped my music quality is learning how to play piano. When you understand the power of an instrument, a whole new creative dimension opens up.

Let’s talk plugins. Which can’t you live without and what programs are necessary to your success?

Massive and Kontakt. I love plugins with a lot of functionality so that I can have a variety of different sounds that I can craft. I love Massive for its Electronic sounds and Kontakt for its guitars and natural instruments.

What has changed throughout the years? Is there any advice you have for new producers?

The way that people consume music and find new music is always changing and the qualities that people look for in an artist have changed. People and art are driven by innovation and doing things differently so the best advice I could give to aspiring Producers is to set yourself apart from everyone else and always try to be innovative. Try not to think about music in a 1 dimensional way.

Any upcoming projects or collaborations?

"TENSION" releases in 2019 along with 2 more projects after that.

We want to know a little more about you. Take this opportunity to speak freely on any topic you want.

I've been making music since the age of 13. I've had training playing drums, bass guitar, and I've also spent a lot of time being in choirs.

I've been nominated for best Electronic Producer/DJ in my state of Arkansas 2 times. My favorite genre of music is Electronic and my favorite anime is Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Yuni Wa, in a few sentences. Tell us about this mix you made for us. Where did you get your inspiration? Is there anything special you want the audience to know?

I got the inspiration for this mix from just chilling and thinking about how I've been feeling and thinking about what are the best songs of mine that I could put in a mix to evoke the best possible feelings from a listener. You know, like it took me weeks to come up with this mix because my head and emotions can be kinda all over the place a lot of the time and I like to change things around a lot but I feel that I reached my overall goal.
