Moskalus, Welcome. Introduce yourself to our audience and tell us a bit about yourself.

Hello, my name is Moskalus, I run a YouTube/Soundcloud channel and upload music regularly. I also do music charts for Swine Daily and Solvdmag, and part of a crew called Audio Video Bass. We run audio-visual parties here in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Take us through the history of Moskalus. From the beginning stages until’ now.

In the beginning I just wanted to upload music on YouTube. Sometimes I could not find the music I found in the web-stores and I just wanted to play the full length. You know, some people cannot afford to buy every track they like, so this was a way they can listen to it. I have decided then to upload this kind of stuff also for other people. It was quite cool to see the numbers reaching higher amounts. It was some kind of evidence that what I was doing made sense.

After a few years of doing this, I started doing music videos and from there on, things were happening really quickly. Labels and tons of people asking me to upload their music, and they still do to this day.

Your online presence is very impressive. What is your favorite medium to release content on and why is it special to you?

For me its definitely YouTube. It was the first medium for me to search for music. Soundcloud wasn't so popular back then, at least here in the Czech Republic. Im quite skilled with YouTube. I have everything sorted, so for me it is it number one.

It is an safe place for all music lovers. People can check my uploads or my playlist. Everything is precisely sorted and all you need to do is just lay back and dig in!

With over 10 years experience in the game, you seen many trends come and go. Which genres do you feel made the most impact in the world of Electronic music? Which are you sad to see go and which are you glad stuck around?

I definitely miss Dubstep and Future Garage. My musical journey started from there basically. Old Ramadanman and Koreless, and few more producers from that era -around 08/09. Those were the times! Then came that L.I.E.S kind of dirty sound and that was game changer for me.

Im still into this even though the producers from that label and a few others from that genre are not so active anymore. Also, Mood Hut, Pacific Rhythm and 1080, was a dope movement too.

Nowadays there is a lot of comebacks. All the Jungle, Breakbeat and now Trancey stuff. Some things are good, some not. Curious to see how it's going to work out. It seems like it changing over the last few years.

Where do you see Electronic music heading? In terms of sound, technology, integration and collaborations?

Now it seems like theres much bigger competence. A lot of new channels and blogs are uploading new music everyday. Lots of new names are coming up every year. It might be harder for people to break through, but at the same time, it is very cool to have the opportunities that social media brings nowadays. People can get in touch easier and can do big things even if they are not in the same room, and that is cool.

In terms of sound, I am not sure if theres anything new happening. It seems like people tend to go back in time nowadays.

With 10 years down, what does the future hold for Moskalus? What would you like to achieve?

I want to slow down. With my day job and all other stuff its kinda hard to handle everything. I will be more selective and upload only the finest goods! I will be doing videos again. I already have some big things prepared. I also want to do my own tracks. I just need to be better at time management, any ideas?

We want to know a little more about you. Speak freely on any topic you want.

I am just an laid back guy who loves to hang out with friends and talk. I am also a bird enthusiast!

Moskalus, in a few sentences. Tell us about this mix you made for us. Where did you get your inspiration? Is there anything special you want the audience to know?

In this mix I wanted to go through more genres. This one is a bit different, more club oriented, with high energy. I am trying to be in the loop, so the mix is full of fresh goodies.
